What Finish Can I Have For My Bespoke Kitchen?
‘What finish can I have for my bespoke kitchen’ is one of the most popular questions we get asked at Churchwood Design. Customers are often surprised when we tell them that they can have any finish they want. When armed with such news it often gets their ‘creative juices’ flowing since the reality hits homes that they are no longer restricted to a limited colour of finish palette and that they can achieve something visually very special and unique for their home. Quite often, this level of freedom with our furniture can have the effect of a customer changing the whole colour theme of their home!
At Churchwood Design we can colour match any paint shade; we have even colour matched to a torn off piece of paper that’s been brought in because the snippet of paper, no matter how small, had just the colour shade that captured the homeowners imagination!
Of course, we are not restricted to paint finishes alone. We can produce furniture in a wide variety of natural timber finishes to include oaks, walnuts, cherry, beech and Zebrano to name but a few. Within the different species there is a whole raft of choices to be made. For example, there is European Oak, English Oak, Reclaimed Oak, Burr Oak or Catspaw Oak - across these varieties you can move from a wonderful honey coloured patina to a heavily patterned - rich finish with interesting knots and burls that only nature and time can produce.
For some people, a whole kitchen in the same finish, might be too much or possibly even boring! However, there is nothing to stop you, at Churchwood Design, combining finishes to great visual effect.
