How Do You Design a Bedroom?
Churchwood Design is often asked about ‘how do you go about designing a bedroom?’ The answer is that you, the customer, can start your new bedroom project in much the same way as you would with a new kitchen.
Start with a bedroom furniture / design wish list wish list. This list should include what exactly you wish to achieve with your new bedroom. For example, how big a bed do you want? How much storage - not only for clothes, but also, shoes, bags and accessories? Do you want a dressing space and perhaps a separate dressing and wardrobe space from your partner? Also consider, any separate requirements such as mirrors, dressing tables etc. Consider other requirements too. For example, do you like to watch TV and read in bed? This might entail a specific pieces of furniture to conceal a TV screen or some sort of book storage………….anything is possible at Churchwood Design; our bespoke manufacturing flexibility litterally means that we can design whatever you want in a bedroom, dressing room and en-suite.
Together with your wish list, create a scrap book of imagery, fabrics and finishes that has caught your eye. These could be images from magazines as well as print outs from websites and images sites such as ‘Pinterest.’
